About

A tradesperson working under a kitchen sink in a UK home

Trusora is a UK-wide site for practical, genuinely useful local advice — real answers to everyday problems and needs, not a directory of businesses to browse.

Most local search results are either national chains with big marketing budgets or thin, templated listing pages that don’t actually tell you anything. We wanted something different: advice that starts from an actual problem — a leaking radiator, a damp bedroom wall, choosing a decent electrician — and gives a straight, practical answer, written to genuinely help rather than to rank.

Where businesses fit in

Where a specific local business is genuinely worth mentioning, we’ll point you to it — with a simple page covering its address, phone number and opening hours. That page exists purely so we don’t have to repeat the details inline; it’s not a listing to browse, and there’s no directory or category grid built around it.

Business details are compiled from publicly available information. We disclose this at the end of each one rather than presenting it as first-hand experience.

Coverage

We cover the whole UK — what we write about each day is driven by what’s genuinely useful right now, whether that’s a seasonal problem (like damp proofing as autumn sets in) or a common local need, rather than working through a fixed list of towns or trades.

How the lights stay on: Trusora carries display advertising and occasional affiliate links, and offers optional flat-fee sponsored inclusion for businesses that want it. There’s no outreach or sales involved — the site itself, and everything on it, stays free to read.
